Acorn Funds

How it works
Establishing an Acorn Fund at the Scioto Foundation is a simple and efficient way to build an endowment fund over time through installments. An Acorn Fund can be used to create an unrestricted, designated, scholarship, organizational endowment, donor advised or a field of interest fund.

• You work with our professional staff to complete a fund agreement.
• You set up a special fund in the name you choose.
• You make minimum yearly contributions of $1,000.
• You can add to the fund at any time during the calendar year.
• Donors, relatives or friends can make contributions.
• Once the goal is reached, distributions from the fund can begin.
• The Scioto Foundation waives its fee until the goal of $10,000 is reached.
