Burton & Thelma Raine
This fund provides two separate Scholarships Awards based upon need and merit. The first will provide scholarship assistance to high school graduates from Adams and Scioto County majoring in a health-care-related field. The second scholarship assists graduates of Manchester High School in Adams County, Ohio.
Thelma Raine was born June 18, 1899, and was a high school graduate of the Manchester Greyhounds. She went on to attend Indiana University where she meet and later married Burton Raine. The Raines spent most of their life in Hutington, West Virginia, and finally moved to Portsmouth in 1975.
